Village Walk Shopping Center, Murrieta, CA
DSCM, Inc. completed the final phase of Ground-up construction acting as the General Contractor as well as Construction Manager. The final phase was comprised of approximately 28,000 square feet of multi-tenant space and was completed on-time and under budget.
Construction Management:
Village Walk Retail is a $65 Million Dollar shopping center made up of over 300,000 square feet of big-box stores and multi-tenant pad buildings. DSCM, Inc. acted as the owner’s Construction Manager for the first two phases of ground up construction as well as the associated site work. DSCM managed two General Contractors, Two Architects, Civil Engineers, and Environmental Consultants. DSCM also acted as the liaison to the Tenants, coordinating turnovers and store openings. The shopping center is owned by Rancon Development and Arthur Pearlman and Associates.
Village Walk Slope Repair, Murrieta:
DSCM, as a General, contracted with the Village Walk Retail LP and Coreland Property Management Company to complete a repair of an eroded slope at the Village Walk Retail center. The slope was eroded due to vandalism to the existing irrigation system. This project required DSCM to work closely with Environmental Consultants (due to the slope being in a Protected Habitat), Soils Engineers, and the Grading Subcontractor in order to rebuild the slope as cost effectively and quickly as possible.
DSCM, Inc. was issued a separate contract to manage the construction of a new culvert style bridge for the Village Walk Retail Project. This multi-million dollar bridge had numerous challenges, such as flowing surface and ground water as well as multiple federal environmental agencies having purview of the disturbed areas.
Europa Village, Temecula, CA
Prelude to Europa was one of the more unique projects that DSCM was hired to construct. Consisting of two unique tasting rooms, with a common courtyard and vestibule. One tasting room was fashioned after a French Bistro, while the other was designed and built to mimic an underground cave. DSCM was also able to assist in designing and constructing a new cement infused base all-weather access road, that may one day become a standard for Wineries in the Temecula Valley.
Lincoln Center
Shopping center remodel: DSCM, Inc. completed an exterior remodel of two Retail Shopping Centers in the City of Anaheim. These particular centers were originally constructed over 30 years ago, and were due for some major improvements. DSCM worked closely with the Architect and Structural Engineer prior to construction in order to minimize the surprises that come when demolishing and rebuilding portions of older buildings like these. The shops in these centers remained open throughout the construction process.
Jenny Craig, California and Arizona
Building remodels in CA and AZ: DSCM, Inc. has had the good fortune to secure Jenny Craig, Inc. as one of their most repetitive clients. The stores that DSCM has completed range from 1,800 square feet to 2,500 square feet. DSCM has recently completed approximately six new stores as well as a number of refurbishments to existing stores.
